Quantova Protocol Software Licenses & Network Terms

Aligned with Privacy Policy & Network Disclosure Framework

Quantova Inc. (United States)

Effective Date: 05/05/2026

1. Status of this Document and Interpretation

This document sets forth the licensing terms applicable to the Quantova protocol software stack and associated intellectual property.

It must be read together with the Quantova Privacy Policy and Network Disclosure Statement. In the event of inconsistency, protocol governance specifications and applicable law prevail.

This document governs software usage rights only and does not constitute an offer, investment instrument, or contractual arrangement for financial return.

2. Protocol Development and Intellectual Property

The Quantova protocol, including node software, consensus implementation, runtime environment, Quantova Virtual Machine (QVM), cryptographic libraries, and related components, is developed under coordination of,

Quantova Inc. (United States)

Quantova Inc. maintains intellectual property rights over specific software components of the Quantova protocol stack, subject to applicable license terms under the Business Source License (BUSL 1.1) and governance defined modifications.

For avoidance of doubt,

  • Intellectual property ownership does not confer control over blockchain consensus
  • Protocol state, transaction ordering, and execution are determined by distributed network participants
  • No unilateral authority over network operation exists by virtue of intellectual property ownership
3. Software License (BUSL 1.1)

The Quantova protocol software is licensed under, Business Source License Version 1.1 (BUSL 1.1).

Under this license framework,

  • The software may be used to operate nodes, validators, and infrastructure participating in the Quantova network
  • Use is permitted solely for interaction with and participation in the canonical Quantova protocol
  • The license restricts use for creating competing blockchain networks or materially equivalent systems
  • License scope applies only to Quantova controlled software components as defined in the repository

Any transition to alternative licensing frameworks shall occur in accordance with applicable governance and legal review processes.

4. Decentralized Network Structure and Consensus

The Quantova protocol operates as a decentralized Layer 1 blockchain system.

Accordingly,

  • Consensus is produced through distributed participation of independent validators and nodes
  • Blockchain state is determined by protocol defined rules executed by network participants
  • No single legal entity operates, controls, or administers consensus, validation, or finality
  • Network execution is emergent from decentralized software participation

Quantova Inc. does not operate the network as a centralized service provider, intermediary, or custodian.

5. Limitation of Functional Authority

Quantova Inc. does not,

  • Control or direct validator participation
  • Determine transaction ordering or block production
  • Exercise unilateral authority over protocol state
  • Operate custodial services for network users

Any participation by Quantova Inc. occurs strictly within protocol defined rules applicable equally to all eligible participants.

6. Tax and Regulatory Independence

Quantova Inc. does not provide tax, legal, or regulatory determinations regarding protocol usage.

Responsibility for,

  • Tax obligations
  • Jurisdictional compliance
  • Regulatory classification of transactions

rests solely with users, validators, and applicable authorities in relevant jurisdictions.

7. Cryptographic Architecture Post Quantum Design

The Quantova protocol incorporates cryptographic primitives aligned with applicable NIST approved post quantum cryptographic standards, where implemented.

For clarity,

  • Cryptographic primitives are defined at protocol specification level
  • Security design is embedded at genesis and protocol foundation layer
  • The system operates under evolving cryptographic standards without reliance on retroactive structural changes

8. Validators and Node Operators

Participation as a validator or node operator is,

  • Permissionless, subject to protocol rules and software requirements
  • Independent of any employment, agency, or fiduciary relationship with Quantova Inc.
  • Non representative of any corporate entity
  • Defined solely by protocol execution conditions

Validators contribute to consensus through independent software operation.

9. Canonical Network Definition

The Quantova network is defined by cryptographically verifiable protocol identity, including,

  • Genesis block hash
  • Signed protocol release artifacts
  • Version controlled consensus specifications
  • Authenticated runtime implementations

Any system not derived from the canonical genesis and signed protocol specification is not part of the Quantova protocol.

10. Third Party Software Components

The Quantova protocol may incorporate third party open source components.

  • Such components remain subject to their respective upstream licenses
  • License notices are preserved in the official repository
  • In the event of conflict, third party licenses govern their respective components

11. Trademarks and Intellectual Property

Quantova and associated identifiers are trademarks and intellectual property of,

Quantova Inc. (United States)

These marks may be used solely for reference to protocol participation, interoperability, or technical identification and may not be used in a manner implying centralized control, endorsement, or commercial affiliation.

12. Alignment with Network Disclosure Framework

This document is intended to remain consistent with the Quantova Privacy Policy and Network Disclosure Statement.

For interpretive clarity,

  • Quantova Inc. is a development and intellectual property coordination entity
  • The Quantova protocol is a decentralized system operated by distributed network participants
  • No single entity exercises unilateral control over consensus or protocol execution
  • Network participation is independent and non custodial in nature

13. Governing Framework

This License is governed by,

  • Business Source License 1.1 (BUSL 1.1)
  • Quantova governance defined protocol specifications
  • Applicable United States law as it relates to Quantova Inc.
  • Jurisdictional laws applicable to network participants
